The countdown begins...

This book has been a long time coming! I wrote Mitsu in 2006 during my final year at Uni with the assistance of my tutor Delia Falconer (The Lost Thoughts of Soldiers) and the generosity of my sister Nikki who dedicated many hours of her time to create 30 illustrations for my story.

Mitsu is essentially about a young girl's quest to save her mother, touching on themes which hark back to classic tales such as Alice In Wonderland, The Labyrinth, The Wizard of Oz, as well as the more recent Coraline.

From the beginning Mitsu has been a very visual story. Initially I wanted to write it as a screenplay, but for my Independent Writing Project I decided to create a basic Flash website to present the text and images. After graduating, my sister suggested we print a physical copy in a storybook format, and thus began our four year journey of revising and improving Mitsu for publication.

Nikki and I are very excited to announce that Mitsu is only weeks away from being launched, and will be available to readers around the world very soon. We can't wait!
